Seb | What happens after a nap on Easter Sunday
We had intentions of hiding a half dozen pastel Easter eggs, so that Seb could have his first real hunt. Immediately after his nap, however, he meandered into our bedroom where I was working out, and instantly spotted them under our bed. Apparently it wasn't such a clever hiding place. It wasn't quite the hunt I had in mind, but it seemed to work for him. He proceeded to lounge around, first shaking the jelly-bean-filled eggs, and then, upon discovering that they opened and that the contents were edible, began to chow down. All the while, his darling yellow Easter balloon from church entwined itself between his legs and never left his side. Many thanks to my handsome husband for taking these pictures. I love these simple moments.

Home | The very best & most joyous Holiday
And now, because of what Christ has done, we look forward to when
"We will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet;
for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."
-1 Corinthians 15-51-52

Art | Vintage Logos, oh my
I was perusing Svpply today, something I rarely do, and happily found a gem: This incredible set of vintage logos. With such boldness and beauty, what's not to love?
Please visit Aqua Velvet for the image credits, and to see some other really cool stuff.
Food | Greens for the mama & the toddler
I've been reading up on health, nutrition and fitness like a mad woman lately. I've been collecting green juice recipes over the past week and finally got to try one yesterday after my workout. This recipe is actually recommended for people who suffer from acne, so if that's you, you must try it! As for me, I was hoping it would give my iron levels a boost, since I think I might be anemic. And of course, my skin could most certainly use a little help.
1 Lemon
1/2 c. Parsley
Chopped 1 rib of celery
2 big handfuls of spinach
1 pince of peeled ginger
1 medium cucumber
This makes 16 oz. of juice/smoothie
Naturally, I forgot to buy celery when I was at the store, so I made it without, and just added a bit of water, since my blender really struggles unless there's enough liquid. Otherwise, I kept it just about like the recipe says. I was afraid of what it would taste like, but it really just tasted very lemony, which is just fine by me. And next time I think I'll use a bit more ginger, because I couldn't really taste it.
A note on the lemon: Most places I've read say that lemons (as well as limes) should be juiced whole. I cut the yellow skin off, though, because I didn't think my blender would be able to handle it. The white of citrus fruits is very nutritious, though, so I tried to keep as much of that on as possible.
If you try this recipe, let me know what you think! Do you have any favorite green juice recipes?
**UPDATE: this woman knows far more about juicing than I do. So glad she posted about it this morning!

And what about the toddler? Well, he will finally eat something green. This is a huge triumph in our house, and you'd better believe that cucumbers will be on my grocery list every week, without fail. The only problem is convincing him that eating them is even more fun than playing with them...
P.S. This juice recipe and others for acne found here.

Seb | More about cars
I mentioned Seb's affinity for cars once before, but had to share again. I love these simple pictures of him learning to line them up and make different games out of them. Also, notice his tongue sticking out? I've been told it's a genetic trait. If the originator of this trait would like to step forward, feel free. I won't out you though, haha.

Seb | Breakfast when Noni's in charge, by Seb
"This morning Da and Mamama went out to breakfast, so I stayed home with Noni and Auntie Jo. When Noni asked me if I wanted to sit in my highchair, I of course responded with an emphatic 'noohh!'
"Noni let me sit in a big boy chair instead. Holla!"
