FItness | Going for a Run
Yes, that's right! 2 months after my baby was born I finally took the plunge and ran 2.5 miles. It wasn't that fun, but I feel great now and definitely want to continue. Tomorrow, however, is either walking or pilates. What is your exercise of choice?
p.s. this guy is awesome.

Travel | Love in D.C.
Here is a picture of our dear friends at their reception. Didn't she make a beautiful bride? And next to it is a picture of the card that I made them.
My baby did so well on the trip, and here is me and my husband outside the wedding reception. I borrowed the dress from my sister, who has awesome taste, and if you're interested in learning more about the necklace I wore, go here.
Goodbye D.C.—Hello old friends

Let's Go Everywhere #2
I've been MIA due to a fantastic roadtrip to D.C. for a good friend's wedding. Seb was an angel in the car and we got to drive to Philly to see my sister-in-law! It was a great trip, and so fun to have the newlyweds MAN and MEN (who just moved in above us!) welcome us home. Pictures will follow soon!

Gift Guide for New Babies & Mamas
The "I can always use more" Items:

Cotton receiving blanket here or here.

Diapers & Baby Wipes

Wash Cloths. You can also get creative and make your own!
For the Breastfeeding Mother:

A Hooter Hider is a lifesaver. Every breastfeeding mother should have one.

Lansinoh Breast Creme

Bubba Keg 52 oz. mug. Or some other large mug for hydration. I have a mug that the hospital gave me that has a straw in it.
I've also had the Camelbak recommended to me. [shown on right]
Save Mom a Headache:

Wet Bag for all those messes when she's on-the-go. These are also great for Moms who are planning to use cloth diapers.

Newborn Socks, because they are extremely hard to find. It doesn't matter if the baby is born in July, all newborns need socks to help regulate their temperature. If you find socks that say 0-6 months, they're too big.

Colic Calm... need I say more?

Home | Summer days

It's a beautiful summer day, and perfect for baling hay. Here, my brothers and husband working in the field. My mom and sister are getting ready for our 4th of July/meet the baby party, Dad and Uncle are unloading a wagon of hay, and I'm living the life of leisure toting my babe around in a Moby wrap.
I love summer.

PS. Isn't this a great idea? My mom didn't have a tablecloth that was the right size, and found this solution for an extra long one. Even if you have the perfect tablecloth, this would make any look very pretty for a special occasion.
Food | Moo Cake, please
I don't quite know what it is about this cake, but I love it. Isn't its vintage vibe phenomenal? Via Coco Cake and thanks to Diana at exPress-o for introducing me to this company!
